These classes are only 9 lessons which introduces the basics of sewing: using the sewing machine, understanding the pattern, fitting, altering, sewing terms, cutting, marking, current construction methods, pressing, how to hand sew, how to use tools and notions while putting together your projects.
With every lesson you will bring your own machine, pattern for the lesson, fabric, notions, and sewing supplies. However if you don’t have a machine available we will have one on sight for you to use. Let us know in advance if you need one. Lesson Plans and Sewing Supply list will be provided when you sign up.

All lessons are $35 per class per person or you can take 4 consecutive classes for $120. Limit 4 students per class. Payment is done in advance at the cashier station. Cash, check or credit is accepted.

Bring Your Own Project
This is for the sewer who needs help getting started on an existing sewing project. If you already know how to sew and have a pattern with fabric but just don’t want to make mistakes on fitting and techniques, this is the class for you. This one day class just to get you on the right track.

Quilting Classes
All quilting classes are offered in a start to finish basis. If you are new to quilting or have been quilting for years, I will walk you through each phase. You will learn a basic understanding of proper fabric handling, tools needed and how to use them correctly, and how to complete your project with accuracy. You will also learn to quilt and bind your project properly.
You will need to bring: Sewing machine cleaned and oiled with a new needle.
Neutral colored cotton thread and 2 wound bobbins
Rotary Cutter, Rotary Ruler, and Mat (we have some mats )
Scissors
Pins (I prefer glass head 1-1/4")
Reverse Stitcher (seam ripper)
Class Schedule:
Hot For Brights: Tuesday, February 2nd, 9th, and 16th 2pm-5pm. Cost $60.00
Not so Square Batiks: Tuesday, February 23rd, March 2nd, and 9th 2-5pm Cost $60.00
T-Shirt Quilt: Tuesday, March 30th, April 6th and 13th 2-5 pm Cost $60.00
Classes must have a minimum of 3 students signed up. Payment is required at the time of registration, at that time you will receive a class supply list. Pattern instructions will be given at the 1st class.
If there is enough interest, I will schedule a Complete your Project class monthly and/or give private classes.
